In the News(paper)...

Wendy, from La Opinion, sent me a sneak peek at the ad the paper is going to be running starting tomorrow to get the word out on La Feria del Libro: A Family Book Fair on Saturday June 2nd on the steps of LA's City Hall.

La Opinion has invited me to be a guest author at their booth and I'll be signing copies of Underneath It All from 11:30 to 1:30. (That's basically what the ad says for non-Spanish readers.)

I'm really looking forward to it. We used to go to the LA Street Scene every year to listen to music, eat antojos until we ran of money or were sick to our stomachs, whichever came first. We had a chance to meet then mayor Tom Bradly who was just hanging out surveying the whole thing from the sidelines or maybe he was waiting for his turn to make a sand sculpture.

The MTA is running buses and trains and there will shuttle service running from some LAUSD school sites to make getting there easier without the hassle of parking. So if you're in LA, like books and food, stop on by. You don't even need to speak Spanish, but it couldn't hurt.
