Weighty Matters: Day Twelve

OK. I know there's only so much I can blame on the time change, but I've been confused all week and not just by what hour it is. For most of the week I kept thinking we were a 24-hours ahead and had to be reminded which actual day I was existing in.

I've also had to postpone my New York trip until summer, but I'm keeping on with my whole regime and plan to get the scale down into the low 130's and, more importantly, keep it there. It's the least I can do since I've already invested so much time and trouble into the whole thing. Plus, I have to do it anyway so I might as well do it now, or within the next few weeks.

I've curbed the after dinner desserts (but had one yesterday in celebration of scoring the last wide screen Casino Royale DVD at Target)and it has made a difference in the loss of one whole pound. It might just be water weight gone down the drain, but I'll take it.

I've also made the transition from the iTrain Spin workout to using my own playlist for a little variety. One thing I learned from all the gym spin classes I've taken is that a good teacher and an excellent playlist can make the whole process a lot more pleasant. So taking my cues from one of my favorite teachers I made a selection of music that keeps me going at 6:30 in the morning. And here it is:

1. Love is a Stranger, Eurythmics
2. SexyBack, Justin Timberlake
3. Jique, Brazilian Girls
4. Wild Sex (In the Working Class), Oingo Boingo
5. I Melt With You, Modern English
6. I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles), The Proclaimers
7. What Difference Does It Make?, The Smiths
8. Dirrty, Christina Aguilera
9. Dangerous, Depeche Mode
10. Love to Love You Baby, Donna Summer.
